What does room hire include?

We hire rooms out on a one-off or regular basis for different activities and functions during the day, in the evening and on weekends, and we offer full support in preparing the room, welcoming your participants or guests and helping you with specific requests and needs.

What does a desk include?

For half day or full day desk hire, you get the use of the spacious desk plus 2 powerpoints. You also get access to our Reception services, free tea and coffee (bean to cup), use of our shared lounge and small rear garden.

For monthly desk hire, you have all the above plus you can leave your desktop or laptop computer in one of our keyed lockers- all equipment stored at your own risk.

How do you book a space?

Opening hours

Usual opening hours  Monday to Friday 08.30 - 17.00- if you need to work at different times, talk to us and we'll make a plan!

How do I pay?

At the moment, by credit or debit card over the phone or in person to Margie or Rick on 01803 865722- online payment and timetabling coming soon.

Do I need insurance?

We are a secured building with CCTV-monitored entrances front and back and a manned Reception during office hours. However, we cannot be held responsible for equipment left in the building which you do at your own risk.

Can I make Zoom and phonecalls?

We ask you to be considerate of other people in the shared space and suggest that you take mobile calls outside in the corridor or the shared lounge area if possible. We provide two Zoom rooms, one on the third floor (the same floor as the shared space) and the other on the second floor. These rooms can be booked for Zoom meetings or conference calls at an hourly rate of £10 per hour.

Can I photocopy or scan on site?

We have a Canon printer/scanner in our Reception and can provide printing and scanning facilities though we are trying to work towards being a paperless office so ask you to print only when really necessary. The costs are as follows:

Printing: A4 black and white 40p per sheet; A3 black and white 80p per sheet

                 A4 colour 80 p per sheet; A3 colour £1.50 per sheet

Scanning: free- just pop into Reception and we will do it as soon as we can.

Is the Gatehouse COVID-secure?

We are running the Gatehouse in line with government recommendations as they are updated and carrying out an enhanced cleaning regime.  Your safety is of paramount importance to us.

Is there parking at the Gatehouse?

We have 4 parking spaces available in the carpark accessible from South St, at the back of the Gatehouse building. The entrance is narrow so it's not suitable for a van or big car. The cost is £10 per day or £2 per hour if you want to use a space. We only offer parking to our clients who are working in the Gatehouse, not to members of the public, and you do so at your own risk.
